Došlo je i to doba godine: VMA’s dodjela glazbenih nagrada. Za točno mjesec dana, odnosno 28. kolovoza, održat će se najluđa glazbena noć. Ova godina je prepuna odličnih albuma, suradnji i novih izvođača koji su iznjedrili kao gljive poslije kiše. Do 19, kolovoza fanovi će moći glasati za svoje favorite kroz 22 kategorije, uključujući kategoriju za najbolji video spot godine, izvođač godine i pjesme godine.
Najnominiraniji umjetnici ove godine su Jack Harlow, Lil Nas X i Kendrick Lamar gdje je svaki od njih pokupio sedam nominacija. Slijedeći njihovo vodstvo, Doja Cat i Harry Style imaju šest nominacija, a s pet nominacija pronašli su se Billie Eilish, The Weeknd i Taylor Swift. Bad Bunny, Drake, Ed Sheeran, Harry Styles, Jack Harlow, Lil Nas X i Lizzo su svi nominirani u kategoriji izvođača godine. S druge strane, Madonna je ove godine dobila svoju 69. nominaciju za projekt MADAME X i trenutno je na tronu kao najnagrađivanija umjetnica u povijesti VMA’s nagrada sa čak 20 pobjeda.
